Go Fly A Kite

We had so much fun yesterday. I have to say, right off the bat, that I have the most wonderful husband in the world. I’m sorry to all you other ladies out there, I know it can be tough settling for 2nd best . . . j/k. Joshua is perfect for me. He is so loving, kind, strong, godly, wonderful, steady, sensible, manly, etc. I could go on and on, but you don’t want to sit her for days, so I’ll leave it at that. We had a lot of fun. Joshua suggested that we go to the reservoir last night. We walked around this large pond or small lake, whichever you want to call it. The wind was blowing perfect for kite weather and I had picked up this little thing at a yard sale, it was pretty expensive little kite but I got it for $1! Isn’t God good? And no, I didn’t barter them down this time. I KNEW that was a fair deal! As soon as you let the kite out of her hand it whooshed up in the air. It was a lot of fun watching my husband play with the kids and show off his incredibly strong muscles! I love him so much! After a what seemed like only a few minutes of kite flying Joshua showed Abby how to throw rocks, skip rocks and other such fun things. Andrew enjoyed just watching and eating his sunglasses he was supposed to be wearing! After that we went home and played some more. Joshua held Andrew and had him in stitches in just a few minutes. He kept playing with Abby telling her he took her nose and traded it with Andrew’s nose. She freaked out! He tried the ear also, but she wanted HER ear, not brudder’s! After that Abby and I made an apple pie together and we all watched Walker together. You know it was a good day, because I am posting almost every picture I took. I usually shoot and shoot pictures and hope for the best, you know, maybe 2 or 3 but this day, the weather was right, the subjects were cooperative, not to mention that one hunk of a handsome husband! It was a good day! It could not have been more perfect! Well, I hope you enjoy the day as much as we did and . . . go fly a kite!

I love silohute pictures. This is not a true one, but they are so expressive! Abby was being an exceptionally good model this day!

We seriously could not have asked for a better kite flying day! God is so good to us! He provides for all our needs, physically and spiritually and then gives us awesome little bonuses like this! Looking back on this, a million dollars would not have been even close to what this day gave us! Thank you Joshua for taking us there! You are a wonderful man!

Just to prove that I am here . . . I forced myself to get a picture taken!

Abby loved helping her daddy get the kite up in the air. It was a perfect day for kite flying. It took no more effort on our part than throwing it up in the air and hanging onto the string.

This was not a posed picture, although it could have been!

I love this picture. The way they are holding each other. It is too sweet! He is such a good father! You should have heard his message on Father's day. It was GOOD!

No, that is not a busted lip. She was trying on mom's never come off for 16 hours or maybe even longer lipstick! Hopefully the rest of it will wear off in time for church!

Here she is telling you that her nose is still connected to her face and that it no longer belongs to brudder.

Playing with Daddy. We love to have our belly tickled.

Doesn't he look so big here?

I love that serious look he gives.
